ACTION ALERT - 6/20 -7/06 2018
Final Weeks of the Legislative Session in Massachusetts,
How is your legislator working to improve the chances for kids with dyslexia?
Have they responded to you with assurance H.4394 and S.2443 will leave the Ways and Means Committee?
Move Bills H.4394 and S.2443
out of Ways and Means favorably to
to pass Dyslexia legislation.
Without early screening kids with dyslexia get stuck on the red line until they fail and need expensive and intensive remediation. Screening to intervene early with effective intervention will keep kids moving on track without big gaps!
Close the gap before it happens.
The Massachusetts Senate and
House of Representative have pending
Dyslexia Legislation bills.
Both H.4394 and S.2443
dyslexia is neurological
(biologically and heritable) and both bills require regulations to establish a process for early screening.
In person visits to the state house
or district offices
are critical this week!
Talk to staff members, legislative aids and of course if possible legislators!
Share your story, and this handout.
